ClearShift produces ultra-pure, carbon neutral specialty chemicals using our cutting edge GTL process, responsibly replacing legacy oil-based fuels and chemicals.
Our GTL technology converts methane, Renewable Natural Gas, and man-made CO2 into fuels and non-combustible specialty chemicals, removing the associated CO2 from the air permanently.
Arriving in the Gulf Coast soon, our next generation 5,000 Barrel Per Day plants will produce carbon neutral specialty chemicals and low carbon fuels.

John Stephenson
Chief Executive Officer
John founded ClearShift in August 2017. For the past twelve years, he served as CEO of several successful start-up companies focused on acquiring, developing, and monetizing midstream and E&P assets. Mr. Stephenson’s career began at a multi-billion dollar investment fund, where he and his team achieved high teens net returns to investors for almost a decade. John holds a BS in Finance and Accounting from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Bill Anderson
EVP of Sales and Innovation
Bill joined ClearShift in December of 2021. Mr. Anderson previously spent 26 years at Calumet Specialty Products Partners leading their specialty sales, marketing, and product development efforts. Additionally, Bill spent 13 years on the executive team managing output from 7 refineries and specialty plants. He holds a BA in Communications from DePauw University.

Herb van Bloemen Waanders
Chief Operations Officer and EVP of Engineering
Herb joined ClearShift in May 2019. He has 35 years in the downstream refining and oil and gas industry. Previously, he has held Vice President roles of Engineering for a large EPC contractor, a Midstream company and a GTL company. Prior to that, he has spent 15 years with Conoco Phillips, a major integrated oil company, in Project Management on various domestic and international projects. Herb has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas and PMP certified.
